Fundraising

The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is to be able to give back to the community.

Wonderful Works Art Auction

Each year, over 50 artists donate to this amazing auction.  This year the auction takes place on November 5th at the Green’s at Renton.

Please send me an email  cbenko50@gmail.com  if you want to volunteer, donate, or if you want to be added to the mailing list to receive information about the Wonderful Works Auction.  All proceeds go to Haldimand and Norfolk Women’s Services to help fund services and programs for women and children who have experienced abuse.

Look Ahead, Aging with a Developmental Disability - 2008

My painting partner Randy Vinnai and I had a blast creating art for this amazing project.  A Lighthouse Festival Theatre volunteer purchased the painting for $1000 with proceeds going to the Look Ahead project.  It was donated back to the theatre in memory of his wife who was also a volunteer at the theatre.  Check out the video - Heart Beat

Hog Days of Summer - 2005

As a fundraiser for the Lighthouse Festival Theatre and Norfolk General Hospital, each artist was given a fiberglass hog to create art on.  My creation was ‘Rosie, the Postcards from the Hedge-hog’.  We travelled throughout Norfolk County and photos of our summer vacation were pasted onto 'Rosie' to create a montage of memories.  Radio Station CD98.9 was my sponsor and is also the permanent home of ‘Rosie’.  She raised $1000 for the cause.
